Methodology & data sources

Read-only sources, each labelled where it is shown.

Data source: ATORA API v1

All report and data product information comes from ATORA AI's API v1 (atora.ai). This site reads three things from it:

  • Reports: ATORA's finished reports, with title, subtitle, version, created and updated timestamps, data product and file list.
  • Data products: active products, with version, state, latest build status and record count.
  • Usage: this site's own request budget for the current minute.

According to ATORA's documentation, the API is read-only and never computes or predicts on request. A report carries a forecast only if ATORA itself issued one.

How we display it

  • Requests are made from our server with a private key. Visitors' browsers never contact ATORA directly.
  • Responses are checked against ATORA's published format. Items that don't match are left out, and the page says how many.
  • Timestamps, versions and IDs are ATORA's own. We add one timestamp: when this site last checked ATORA.
  • Results may be reused for up to one minute. If ATORA doesn't answer within 8 seconds, the page shows that it's unavailable.
  • Report file downloads are currently switched off, pending confirmation that ATORA's terms allow public redistribution.

Company workspaces: SEC EDGAR, Marketstack and Alpha Vantage

Listing identity comes from the Twelve Data reference directory (US and Canada), refreshed periodically and shown with its source and last refresh. Company pages request further data on demand from our server. Each source reports its actual availability; unavailable data is never replaced by invented numbers. SEC records attach only to verified US-exchange listings; Canadian listings never receive US issuer records by ticker coincidence.

  • SEC EDGAR: company identity (CIK), ticker and exchange, recent filings with links to the original documents on sec.gov, and annual figures from 10-K/20-F company facts. Each figure shows its period, unit and filing; amended filings replace earlier values.
  • Marketstack: up to one year of end-of-day prices and volume, raw and split/dividend-adjusted. These are finished trading days, not real-time or intraday prices.
  • Alpha Vantage: optional company overview and raw end-of-day price fallback. Plan restrictions and rate limits may prevent data loading; its responses are cached for 24 hours. Public display rights are not yet verified.
  • Descriptive measures: returns, volatility, volume z-score and range position are calculated by FinMarketsLab from those end-of-day prices, with formulas shown. They describe the past and are not forecasts or ATORA output.
  • Results are cached (filings 1 hour, prices and financials 6 hours) and requests are spaced and paused after errors. These limits currently apply per server instance; a shared quota control is needed before a wider public rollout.
  • No company data is sent to ATORA.

Not available

Real-time or intraday prices, coverage beyond the listed companies, ATORA Ask, Pattern and Predict, forecasts, scenario modelling, backtesting and scored track records. ATORA's API is read-only and offers no question or prediction service to this site, so none is shown and no placeholders are used.

Limitations

We can't independently verify the content of ATORA's reports. Read the Financial Risk Disclosure.
